Setting Up a Podium
Section titled “Setting Up a Podium”
Getting a podium up and running involves two steps: defining it in MeetCue and connecting the physical display device.
Step 1 — Define the Podium in MeetCue
Section titled “Step 1 — Define the Podium in MeetCue”- Go to Podiums in the left sidebar
- Click + New Podium
- Enter the details:
- Name: A label for this screen (e.g., “Main Hall”, “Lobby Screen”)
- Orientation: LANDSCAPE or PORTRAIT
- Location: Optional description
- Click Save
The podium appears in your list and is assigned a unique URL.
Step 2 — Connect the Display Device
Section titled “Step 2 — Connect the Display Device”- Copy the podium URL from the podiums list
- On the TV or monitor you want to use, open the Chrome browser
- Paste the URL into the address bar and press Enter
- The live display interface loads on screen
- Press F11 for full-screen mode
The screen is now live. When you publish an event from the Control Panel, it will appear on this screen.
Keeping the Screen On
Section titled “Keeping the Screen On”The browser tab must remain open for the podium screen to work. Configure the device to prevent sleep:
- Windows: Power settings → Turn off display: Never
- Android TV: Sleep → Off
- Chrome kiosk mode (auto-launch on boot): Ask your IT team
Multiple Podiums
Section titled “Multiple Podiums”Repeat these steps for each display screen. Each podium has a unique URL and is managed independently.
