Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access. Even if your password is compromised, an attacker can’t log in without your authenticator app.

After entering your password, you’re prompted for a second step: a 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app. This code refreshes every 30 seconds.

Install one of these on your phone before starting:

  • Google Authenticator (iOS / Android)
  • Authy (iOS / Android / Desktop)
  • Microsoft Authenticator (iOS / Android)
  1. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner
  2. Go to Profile SettingsSecurity
  3. Click Enable 2FA
  4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  5. The app adds MeetCue and starts generating codes
  6. Enter the current 6-digit code from the app
  7. Click Verify — 2FA is now active

Use the manual key displayed below the QR code to add the account manually in your app.

During 2FA setup, you’ll receive backup codes. Save these in a secure location.

If you lose access to your phone or authenticator app, use one of these codes at the login screen by selecting “Use a backup code”. Each backup code can only be used once.

  1. Enter your email and password
  2. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app in the verification field
  3. Click Sign In

The code is valid for 30 seconds. If it’s rejected, wait for a new code to generate and try again.

Go to Profile SettingsSecurityDisable 2FA. You’ll need to enter your current 2FA code to confirm.
