Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access. Even if your password is compromised, an attacker can’t log in without your authenticator app.
How 2FA Works
Section titled “How 2FA Works”After entering your password, you’re prompted for a second step: a 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app. This code refreshes every 30 seconds.
Setting Up 2FA

Section titled “Required App”Install one of these on your phone before starting:
- Google Authenticator (iOS / Android)
- Authy (iOS / Android / Desktop)
- Microsoft Authenticator (iOS / Android)
Setup Steps
Section titled “Setup Steps”- Click the profile icon in the top-right corner
- Go to Profile Settings → Security
- Click Enable 2FA
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
- The app adds MeetCue and starts generating codes
- Enter the current 6-digit code from the app
- Click Verify — 2FA is now active
Can’t Scan the QR Code?
Section titled “Can’t Scan the QR Code?”Use the manual key displayed below the QR code to add the account manually in your app.
Backup Codes
Section titled “Backup Codes”During 2FA setup, you’ll receive backup codes. Save these in a secure location.
If you lose access to your phone or authenticator app, use one of these codes at the login screen by selecting “Use a backup code”. Each backup code can only be used once.
Logging in with 2FA
Section titled “Logging in with 2FA”- Enter your email and password
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app in the verification field
- Click Sign In
The code is valid for 30 seconds. If it’s rejected, wait for a new code to generate and try again.
Disabling 2FA
Section titled “Disabling 2FA”Go to Profile Settings → Security → Disable 2FA. You’ll need to enter your current 2FA code to confirm.
